The hot cutover scope for KSU is a highly complex scope that involves careful planning to safely cut over each 690V consumer (power and control cable) while the KTL plant is in live operation without causing any unplanned LPO events. This position is responsible for the overall planning, engineering, procedures, stakeholder alignment and execution oversight to safely and efficiently execute the hot cutover scope for the KSU Project at KTL-1 and KTL-2. The Lead Project Engineer Cutover/SIMOPS will provide guidance and leadership of the Engineering Contractor throughout FEED and Detailed Engineering to ensure the hot cutover scope is defined and engineered for successful execution.
Lead the engineering, prioritization and scheduling of activities to allow for undertaking cutovers while the plant is in live operation without incident or injury. Develop robust plans for any cutovers that require a planned LPO to be undertaken during plant turnaround, unplanned shutdowns or during winter months to reduce LPO impact. In addition, evaluate creative solutions to enable cutovers to be undertaken during winter months along with other opportunities to improve productivity. This will require evaluating solutions that require construction contractor to build habitats around work areas or other options, and timing Job Pack Issuance and materials delivery accordingly
