The Crane Operator (50 t) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a 50-ton mobile crane for lifting, loading, unloading, and positioning heavy equipment, materials, and cargo at the worksite. The position is responsible for performing pre-operational inspections, operating the crane in accordance with approved lifting plans and manufacturer requirements, ensuring proper load handling and crane stability, and complying with all applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements. The Crane Operator works closely with lifting supervisors, riggers, and other site personnel to ensure safe and efficient heavy lifting operations
Secondary specialized or technical education; relevant crane operation certification is required Valid license/certificate to operate mobile cranes up to 50 tons Minimum 3 years of experience operating mobile cranes, preferably 50-ton or higher capacity Experience in construction, oil & gas, industrial, or similar projects Strong knowledge of crane operation, load charts, lifting plans, rigging practices, and safe lifting procedures Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements applicable to heavy lifting operations Ability to conduct daily inspections and identify mechanical, structural, and operational hazards Ability to work in accordance with lifting plans, method statements, permits, and site procedures Good communication, teamwork, and situational awareness Ability to work in shifts and under challenging site conditions
