Terms and Conditions
Creates project drawings using AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
Develops all project drawings and documentation for the I&C engineering team of the site/division, including (but not limited to): instrumentation equipment list, I/O signal register, cause and effect matrix, process description, instrumentation layout plan, instrumentation cable route, loop diagrams, cable schedule, technical data sheets, bill of materials, material requisitions, scope of work, construction work packages, explanatory notes, inspection procedures, system architecture, PIG layout plan, site visit reports, etc.
Reviews technical documentation and detailed drawings of related disciplines.
Submits project drawings developed by the site/division I&C engineering team to the Chief Engineer and/or Senior Engineer for approval and issuance.
Ensures quality control within the assigned area.
Participates in instruction, training, mentoring, and effective supervision of staff employees.
Reports on the status of I&C work and technical documentation to the Chief Engineer.
Attends kickoff meetings, project-related staff meetings, meetings with clients, contractors, suppliers, process flow review meetings, or other necessary discussions.
Ensures the exchange of information in both written and verbal form within the I&C engineering department and with other engineering disciplines.
Coordinates the design activities of the I&C group with other engineering teams from different disciplines.
Participates in HAZID/HAZOP/PHA meetings.
Receives and distributes design instructions related to the requirements and procedures for facility design.
Performs design calculations.
Works independently with minimal supervision from the Chief I&C Engineer.
Manages and justifies the progress of work within the allocated project scope.
Conducts business correspondence with clients and contractors.
Identifies areas for improvement in the design department and communicates them to the Chief I&C Engineer.
Visits project sites for inspections and meetings.
When assigned as the responsible person for author supervision at designated construction sites, supports construction by clarifying drawings and specifications and making necessary project modifications. Monitors and records any deviations from the project and makes decisions on necessary adjustments.
Conducts author supervision.
Ensures the execution of intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary reviews of issued documents within assigned projects.
Keeps up to date with changes in regulatory codes and standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including international I&C standards.
Experience in designing, operating, and/or maintaining instrumentation and equipment.
Knowledge of Kazakhstani and international standards, best practices, and industry experience. Minimum of 3 years of industry experience, with at least 2 years in design engineering.
