A major Job Fair was held on the 11th May at the University of International Business (UIB), organized in collaboration with the Akimat and Employment Centre of Almaty. A unique opportunity was provided to unite more than 300 employers and more than 500 graduates and students of Almaty universities on one platform. The job fair was attended by state organizations, local and foreign private companies, educational companies and companies providing professional training courses. A forum for employers was held in front of the University building, where the President of the UIB gave an opening speech. The Manager of the IT department of the university made a presentation to the forum’s attendees about the ALMATY JUMYS app, which was developed by him. Having registered in the app as an employer, you will be able to place vacancies and receive responses from registered students. A large number of workshops were carried out by a range of employers covering a variety of subjects, to help students and graduates find companies where they can take an internship, to adapt themselves during the internship process, and in the search for jobs and passing probation periods. The main goal of the job fair was to find points of interaction between Universities and employers in order to arrange regular events designed to assist all graduates in finding employment.
