Engineer, Process Control/Automation - Engineer, Process Control/Automation, Lead

• Ensure uninterrupted operation of automatic infrastructure and process control systems. • Participate in development of new process flow charts and in improvement of existing ones. • Implementation of the latest high technology in the systems. • Provide support for the Automation Control System at the Plant. Carries out checks, repairs and calibration of automatic systems and equipment, analysis and correction of system’s malfunctioning • Identify opportunities for advanced process control improvements. Develop and implement advanced, multivariable process controllers. • Study new equipment, projects, methods of control, develop new flow charts, improves existing ones. Projects are very complex, multi-task oriented and require extensive engineering knowledge in process automation control. • Process the data according to ACS tasks. Participates and makes decisions in development of ACS and its subsystems, RFPs and different work projects. • Participate in adjustment and putting new equipment into operation. Supporting new projects and implementing modifications on existing ones. Receives general instructions for routine work and detailed instructions on complex work. • Develop / modify display graphics and system logic configurations as required. Participate when required on Design Reviews / Comments for control/safety systems. Perform system back-ups for IT, DCS and ESD systems. Review the operation of the equipment and perform necessary maintenance. Perform regular checks of the communication links to/from DCS. • Maintain / support cybersecurity of process control systems. • Detect and resolve design issues during the commissioning phase or later during maintenance routines if not involved in the project. • Perform control system and Instrument loop checks, function testing and commissioning of systems • Experience in Complex problem solving of control system network, process control issues and hardware issues. • Report and find solutions to automation Non-Conformance Report (NCR) items. • Review diagnostics data and ensure automation systems are being maintained properly ensuring and that automation failures and faults are corrected • Excellent organization, planning and verbal/written communication skills. • Experience in working on multiple projects at the same time

• Must have basic understanding of oil field, and/or oil & gas plant processes. • High level expertise in Honeywell Experion C300PM/C300 and Experion PKS-TPS control systems • Basic knowledge of Honeywell FSC/SM controllers. • Familiar with different communication protocols and network architectures from end devices to and between PLCs, ESD systems, SCADA, Process Control System and Experion systems. • Understanding of Safety Instrumented System and Process Automation system design. • Preventive Maintenance –Backup of ExperionPKS database, Modification, Supervision of system cleaning of existing running system. • Corrective Maintenance – Restoring the system from any faults in the system· • PC troubleshooting and Networking • Experience in firmware upgrade of C300PM and C300 controllers,IO modules and CF9. • Knowledge of DCS and PLC with a hands-on experience. • Matured skills in independent troubleshooting / problem resolution on these platforms. • Candidate will have to keep himself technically updated by completing the assigned trainings. • Supporting projects and ExperionPKS migrations activties. • Added advantage if knowledge of Honeywell System • Perform Systems validation & verification after windows upgrade and new patch installation • Higher Engineering Degree. (Preferably related to Automation and control systems) • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with Honeywell LCN and FTE networks. • Relevant work experience - not less than 2 years.
