Terms and Conditions
Monitoring the timely and high-quality development and approval of construction and architectural working documentation, master plans, and underground utilities prepared by the EPC contractor, including the review of drawings, calculations, and other project documentation.
Organizing the work of the construction design group within the HSE Department.
Reviewing the technical content of all construction design documentation, including codes, standards, technical specifications, procedures, lists of technical characteristics, calculations, material take-offs, and procurement requests.
Ensuring consistent project decision-making.
Addressing comments from state expertise bodies.
Coordinating with design institutes, licensors, equipment and material manufacturers, construction contractors, government agencies, state expertise authorities, utility owners, and others.
Conducting technical inspections of material and precast concrete manufacturers, assessing manufacturer capabilities, and verifying material selection.
Reviewing engineering survey assignments and outcomes.
Organizing the review of material substitutions and technical solution adjustments in coordination with construction contractors.
Participating in the review of 3D models and ensuring compliance with 30%-60%-90% stage requirements.
Conducting comparative analysis of international and Kazakhstani design and material standards.
Performing technical evaluations of procured construction materials.
Reviewing Bills of Quantities in working documentation and cost estimates.
Ensuring optimization of technical solutions in terms of budget and schedule.
Reviewing reports and technical specifications, providing comments and recommendations on design solutions.
Preparing progress reports as required.
Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and other internal company policies.
Performing other project-related tasks as assigned by management.
Education:
Higher (postgraduate) technical/engineering education.
Qualification: Civil/Structural Engineer (mandatory)
Additional Professional Training:
IPMA or PMP certification is an advantage.
Work Experience:
More than 10 years of experience in industrial (minimum 6 years) and civil design, including at least 3 years in the role of Lead Engineer / Team Leader / Chief Specialist in structural steel/concrete design (KM/KZh) or as Chief Structural Engineer.
