Senior Mechanical Engineer

∙ To complete assigned work on time to meet KPO schedules. The work will include investigations, surveys, feasibility studies, calculations, simulations, conceptual design, detailed design, production of drawings, engineering reports and scopes-of-work, cost estimation of time, resources as well as plant and material, material specification and procurement. ∙ To supervise mechanical engineering work assigned to external design institutes and engineering contractors, in order to monitor and maintain the progress and quality of deliverables and associated activities. ∙ To report progress of all assigned work to lead mechanical and piping engineer. ∙ To participate in risk assessment and all the related studies of designs. ∙ To perform detail checking and peer/inter-discipline reviews, as applicable, on In-house as well as outsourced engineering. ∙ To ensure compliance of assigned mechanical engineering with the basis of design brief or technical assignment, applicable specifications, codes and standards. ∙ To ensure the selection of cost effective designs and materials taking into account operating and maintenance costs and standardization of equipment in total cost of ownership terms. ∙ To control technical compliance of purchased machinery. ∙ To provide mechanical engineering support to constructing and commissioning teams. ∙ To study best domestic and international mechanical engineering practice and trends.

∙ Good and proven knowledge of onshore upstream oil and gas facilities. ∙ Knowledge of conceptual studies, FEED study, detail design follow-on engineering and closeout. ∙ Knowledge of RoK and international codes, regulations and standards. Knowledge of the latest developments and current best practice in pip"1 ng design and materials. ∙ Machinery and plant installation in the oil and gas industry. ∙ Mechanical theory and its practical implementation. ∙ RoK internal codes, regulations and standards relating to mechanical engineering. ∙ The latest developments and current best practice in mechanical engineering. ∙ Excellent communication skills in English.
