Deputy Construction Manager (E&I, Mech&Piping) – HIT Team

Reports to Construction Manager on all issues relating to Construction on a regular basis. Overview construction planning and monitor progress of allocated projects to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates. Overview project costs and manage corrective action if significant deviations from budget occur. Overview project programming, cost control, time control, quality control, purchasing, contract administration, general site administration and the activities of sub-contractors. Provide leadership with the Health and Safety requirements as outlined in the Program Procedure Manuals & work to identify and resolve potential safety issues. Ensure compliance with the Environmental permits and requirements as outlined in the Program Procedure Manuals. Ensure compliance with the Quality program as outlined in the Program Procedure Manual. Drive completion of QVDs, Punchlists, Turnover and Pre-commissioning activities.

5-10 years of experience in Heavy Construction, acting as the Site or Construction Manager on Projects of US$50 million or more. Planning a small-medium project from the start of temporary facilities to the start of Commissioning at a remote location. Background in three or more of the following; Earthworks, Concrete, Steel Erection, Mechanical, Piping and E&I. Ability to work within a team, both as a Team Leader for the Area Managers, Contractors, Client Representatives, other Functional Groups & the Home Office Engineering Very Strong background in Safety, demonstrated results in Safe Work Culture. Strong understanding of schedules and project planning to ensure that the work flow is correct. Experience in monitoring and reporting of a vertical contractor progress to the project. Experience in Quality Programs, and working within the policies that the vertical contractor has the primary responsibility for Quality Control. Experience managing a work force of 200 or more people. Strong background in E&I as this is the largest single contract on the project. Able to interface with Contractors and the client. Degree in Engineering or 15 years equivalent experience Minimum 10 years with 5 in a leadership role. Must have 5 years in industrial construction (Energy or Mining) Must be fluent in Kazakh/Russian and English
