Senior Electrical Engineer

JD Senior Electrical Engineer Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities: - To ensure the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfilment of the project quality requirements and the contractual obligations; -To define the list of activities, list of deliverables, time schedule and controls Discipline activities in accordance with Contract requirements; -To take any corrective action within discipline project team necessary to achieve the project goals or report to Engineer Manager for more extensive problems; -To monitor performance indicators for electrical part in accordance with PM/PEM instruction; -To be the electrical technical reference into the interdisciplinary activities of project; -To monitor and reports actual progress including 3D / check, including control of manhours, quantities and delivered documents for electrical part in the project; -To suggest suitable actions to prevent, adsorb or minimize any deviations in terms of time and costs; -To coordinate the evaluation of the design changes to the original scope of work and verify the implementation of those approved; -To be aware and keep track of all interface (in /out) information; -To approve all produced documents (internal or subcontracted) like design reports, technical specifications, drawings, etc., in accordance with project procedures; -To coordinate internal review activities and participate to inter-discipline review meetings; -To report to the Project staff and support Project Management in technical interface with Client; -To ensure follow-up activities; -To update manhour estimate and cost estimate (due to changes or project updating); -To perform technical evaluation of bids (prepares or checks according to internal procedures).

Main Capability and Competences: -Definition of the architecture of an electrical system (single-line diagrams); -Definitions of protection and measurement schemes; -Elaboration of short circuit calculations, ground network and Load Flow, cable dimensioning; -Knowledge of the tools to perform these calculations (eg ETAP); -Technical knowledge of the following: High Voltage switchyard (AIS; GIS) –High Voltage OHTL -MV & LV switchgear - Substation automation and intelligent relays communication network commissioning- Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas- Power transformers- Substation automation and intelligent relays communication network commissioning-Turbogas Generators-Power generation -Diesel Generator Set - Electric motors. - VSD (variable speed drive) – Field electrical equipment’s- Motor control equipment. - UPS system – Packaged equipment interfaces - Lighting, Earthing and Power distribution – SCADA–ECS – DCS, ESD-PMS-FG, Load Sharing, Load Shedding, Synchronization etc. Minimum of 5 years experience
