Job Description:

Hazard and Risk Management
To identify the safety engineering scope of work from basis of design.
To be able to raise a suite of project deliverables including procedures, design basis and execution plan & schedules of activities.
Interface with other discipline departments and with the Client
Develop Terms of Reference Scopes of Work for 3rd party facilitation of HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP and SIL assessments
Fire & Explosion Analysis, including consequence modelling in PHAST using hazard-based and risk-based methods
Safety and fire-fighting layouts
Safety Critical Element (SCE) & Performance Standards
ALARP demonstrations
Oversight of 3rd party loss prevention (e.g. QRA) activities including develop SOW and technical bid evaluation
SIL Assessments using LOPA and Risk Graph
Hazardous Area classification
Active Fire Protection Design (or knowledge of).
Hydraulic firewater system modelling (AFT Fathom, Pipenet)
Flare radiation and dispersion modelling (Flaresim)
Passive Fire Protection Design (or knowledge of)

Job Requirements:

Degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Chartered or working towards.
Engineer (IChemE) certification
Functional Safety Engineer (e.g. TÜV) certification is considered particularly advantageous
Professional Process Safety Engineer (IChemE) is considered particularly advantageous
Significant, meaningful experience in using PHAST consequence modelling software (advanced user) with training certification is required
